SARASOTA, Fla. -- Neighbors of a planned lift station near downtown Sarasota came out Thursday night to hear the latest plans.

The once-underground facility is now set to be above ground, 6,000 square feet, several years late, and some $15 million over budget.

Engineers hired by the city made their presentation on the latest version of Lift Station 87, and some nearby residents were on hand to make sure their voices were heard.
