BRADENTON, Fla. -- A proposal to expand the boundaries of the Village of the Arts could move forward by the end of the year.

The expansion is part of the "Plan to Act" project, which is designed to attract more artists to the village.

It would expand the boundaries of the village a block west to 14th Street West, and a block north to Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue.

The final plans will reviewed by the Artist Guild of Manatee, residents, city boards and eventually the city council for approval.
