BRADENTON, FL. – Police have arrested a sex offender for Lewd and Lascivious Molestation of a 5-year-old girl.

On Wednesday, March around 10:20 a.m., a Bradenton Police Department officer was flagged down in the 1500 block of West 12th Avenue by a mother that wanted to report a crime committed against her 5-year- old daughter. The mother and daughter were taken to the Bradenton Police Department so that detectives could investigate her concerns.

Bradenton Police detectives were able to determine that on March 11, between the hours of 11 a.m. and 8 p.m., 37-year-old Jerry Lejuan Solomon had touched the 5-year-old female inappropriately on at least one occurrence while he was babysitting her. The girl was not physically injured.

Solomon was interviewed at the Bradenton Police Department, where he confessed to inappropriately touching the girl.

Solomon is currently registered with the State of Florida as a Sexual Offender. He was placed under arrest and charged with Lewd and Lascivious Molestation.
