SARASOTA, Fla. - Two people were arrested at a Sarasota homeless camp Saturday in a dispute over a spark plug for a scooter, according to police.

41-year-old Darrell Arline has been charged with two counts of felony Aggravated Battery, and 27-year-old Shantel Ward has been charged with one count of felony Aggravated Assault.

According to the Sarasota Police Department, the dispute happened around 11:30am Saturday at a campsite in the 1700 block of 10th Way.

The victims, a male and a female, told police that the argument started over a spark plug for Arline's scooter.  The male victim says Arline became irate and began pouting gasoline on people while holding a lighter.

The female victim says that Arline's girlfriend, Ward, began threatening her and pulled out a knife.

Arline and Ward were arrested and taken to the Sarasota County Jail.

Last week, police gave residents in this camp notice to move out by Monday.
