SARASOTA, Fla. - Two men were arrested on battery charges early Wednesday after a victim claims he was stabbed by a man dressed as a woman.

According to Sarasota Police, around 1am Wednesday, the victim says he pulled his truck over near the intersection of 16th Street and North Tamiami Trail to pick up a woman he believed was another woman named Jessica.

He told police that she was wearing a dress and had her hair in a pony tail; but once he discovered that this woman was a male, later identified as Ricardo Toro, he asked him to exit the truck.  Toro refused and produced a knife and stabbed the victim, then took the vehicle's keys, threw them from the vehicle, and began to walk away.

The victim got out and confronted Toro about the keys, and was approached by Toro's boyfriend, Josh Gaudette, who punched the victim in the side of the head.

The two men were located by police a few blocks away and arrested.  Toro has been charged with Aggravated Battery with a deadly weapon. Gaudette has been charged with Battery.
