Plane goes down in Charlotte Harbor

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, FL-  An Ultra Light plane makes a splash landing into Charlotte Harbor on Sunday.

It happened just after 1:30 in the afternoon, near Burnt Store Marina.  According to the Charlotte County Fire Rescue the plane started having trouble before making the emergency landing.  Following its splash landing it flipped over in the water.  The pilot was able to get out and was unharmed.

Rescue crews from Charlotte County, Cape Coral, and Boca Grande responded to the scene.  The crash is now under investigation.
