MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. -- Next month, crews will begin work to re-construct the historic Bridge Street Pier in Bradenton Beach.

City commissioners approved the plan Monday.

The city decided to go with Sarasota-based company Duncan Seawall to make the improvements.

The project will cost more than a million dollars to complete. Construction is expected to be completed by January.
