MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. - The owner of a Manatee County animal sanctuary where 300 animals were confiscated has now filed for bankruptcy.

The bankruptcy filing has put a halt to a scheduled foreclosure sale of the property that was supposed to take place Tuesday.

On February 5th, sheriff's deputies raided the Napier's Animal Sanctuary following numerous complaints about their animal's living conditions.

The owners are being investigated for Animal Cruelty and Fraud, although no charges have been filed yet.
