BRADENTON - One man has been hospitalized after 2 suspects open fire at a Bradenton bonfire.

The Manatee County Sheriff's Office says two men had the bonfire going behind their home in the 1100 block of 51st Avenue East around 6:30 pm Thursday.

That’s when two suspects came into their backyard and ran after them. One of the victims ran into his house and the other, Charles Spencer, ran to his front yard. While he was in the front yard, he was shot once on the left foot.

Spencer was transported by EMS to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspects were described as black males. They fled in an unknown four door sedan.
