One more day of training in Sarasota for Wallenda

SARASOTA - Nik Wallenda is just days away from the biggest high wire walk of his life, and is close to wrapping up his practice sessions hereon the Suncoast.

The Sarasota native spent Tuesday morning walking the practice wire at Nathan Benderson Park. He will practice again Tuesday night at 6pm and will hold his final training sessions at the park Wednesday at 10:30am and 6pm.

He heads to the Grand Canyon on Thursday to prepare for Sunday’s daredevil walk across the Grand Canyon live on Discovery Channel.

Monday night, Wallenda met with some of his hometown fans at Lee Roy Selmon's on University Parkway.

Wallenda has been training for two weeks at Sarasota's Nathan Benderson Park, located on North Cattlemen Road just south of University Parkway.
