NORTH PORT, Fla. - Noise complaints in the city of North Port have been lodged against a medical helicopter company, and that will be a topic of discussion for city commissioners Monday.

Since the beginning of the year, nearly three dozen complaints have been made by residents living near City Hall, where a landing pad is currently set up.

North Port and Bayflite currently have a two year agreement, with the city serving as landlord to the helicopter service.

About 1,800 homes are affected by the noise.

Commissioners will discuss possibly moving the landing pad to another location.

I can not for the life of me figure out why in theeee he*^ they have this chopper where they do to begin with. Put the thing over at the hospital like many are already. I would think that the fuel consumption would be enough to convince any intelligent person to do that. If it were at a hospital then I am certain that operating costs would surely go down some.

You would not say that if it crashed into your house or woke you up in the middle of the night when you have to get up for work. North ort is a big city and they can relocate it to where it doesn't go over the homes. You probably don't even live in this area,

As low as he flew just now, he scared my dogs. They can go to their destination an lower down, there's no reason for what happened just now. Some are just jerks. If he crashes into one of our houses here, there will be a lawsuit from the family.

Honestly, people are so ...........can't say it. They will cry and carry on until they need the service, then cry and carry on that it took too long to help them. People need to grow up, put their big people pants on and get a life. A few minutes of disturbance to help save someone's life. Yes it's annoying, but think if it was you or someone you loved needing that service. What would you say then? You would be grateful for the service!
Come on people, expand yourself! Don't be so self centered. Not everything is about you!
