NORTH PORT, FL. - The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a North Port man in connection with several burglaries in the Lazy River Mobile Home Park.

Surveillance video showed a man riding into the park on a bicycle the night of the crimes. The suspect entered at least two unlocked vehicles and stole loose change and cash, and took a three-wheel bicycle from a third home. During their investigation, detectives received information that Robert Krstec might be involved and had a handgun stolen in a vehicle burglary in nearby Harbor Cove.

When contacted at his home, Krstec admitted being an accomplice to several burglaries and turned over the loaded handgun and two laptop computers.

The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office is working with the North Port Police Department who arrested Krstec’s alleged accomplice, Cody Bryant, Thursday for an unrelated armed burglary.

Krstec is charged with three counts of Principal to Burglary and one count of Dealing in Stolen Property for buying what he knew was a stolen gun from Bryant. The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending.
