SARASOTA, Fla. - Sarasota County Sheriff's deputies are investigating an incident between two vehicles along Clark Road Tuesday night.

It happened around 8pm.

According to the sheriff’s office, it all started with a dispute between two people at Lee’s Food Store on Swift Road just north of Clark Road. Following the dispute, one juvenile subject left the scene in an SUV with three other juveniles, and were chased by the other subject and one other person in a pickup truck.

The chase led both vehicles onto Blount Avenue, and at the dead-end a homeowner chased them off their property by firing a shotgun, striking both vehicles.

Deputies later pulled both vehicles over at the intersection of Clark Road and Honore Avenue.

The four juveniles, aged 15 to 17, were questioned and released to their parents.

The two men in the truck were also released after questioning.

Traffic citations were issued to both drivers.
