MANATEE COUNTY - Manatee County Sheriff's Detectives are following up on a new tip in the death investigation of Patrick Mullins.

The family's attorney says investigators are conducting interviews in connection with the new information.

Mullins was a former Palmetto High School media specialist whose body was found in the Manatee River last February with an anchor tied to his waste and a shotgun wound to his head.

While some believe it was suicide, eight months later the death is still ruled as undetermined.

Recently, the family has offered a reward for information in his death. “That has been hard to accept and much harder to accept that they don't have answers,” says Jill Mullins.

Jill is pleased that the sheriff's office has made this case active again.
