SARASOTA, Fla. -- Two new mixed use developments are in the works in the Rosemary District of Sarasota, in an effort to give the area a younger, artsier boost.

But it could be a risky move.

Developers want to create the Rosemary Residential Overlay District between Cocoanut, 10th, Orange and Fruitville--an area that would be allowed to have 75 apartments per acre--three times what is currently allowed.

ABC 7's Rebecca Vargas has been following this story and will have a full report tonight on ABC 7 News.
