BRADENTON, Fla. – IMG Academy has acquired land bordering its west campus.

The Bradenton Herald reports the academy bought 24 acres from the Manatee Fruit Company for $1.5 million.

IMG will use the land as part of its $200 million expansion. A new dorm, school building, student union, and performance center are all slated to be finished within the next two years.

ABC 7's Todd Dunn will have more on this story tonight on ABC 7 News.
