SARASOTA - Police say they have arrested 25-year-old Kyle Riley on Capital Sexual Battery and Incest charges.  The arrest comes two weeks after 22-year-old Joshua Riley was arrested in the same case.

Kyle Riley was arrested by deputies with the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office just after midnight on Thursday morning in the 6500 block of Gateway Avenue, in the Gulf Gate area of Sarasota.

Joshua Riley was arrested on the same charges on July 3rd.

According to the Sarasota Police Department, the crime happened in the City of Sarasota.

The victim, now 14 years old,  told detectives she started having sex with Joshua when he was 8 years old, which would make her an infant at the time, and later with Kyle.  She said both Kyle and Joshua would use a butter knife to unlock her bedroom door and have sex with her.

The victim says that Kyle was having sex with her until June 27, 2013, when the victim confided in a friend and detectives were called.

After his arrest, Joshua consented to a polygraph test and confessed to the crimes.  He says he loves the victim "more than he should, in a girlfriend kind of way."

Detectives recovered used condoms from Joshua's room, finding them exactly where the victim described them.

A Capital Sexual Battery charge carries no bond and could carry a sentence of life in prison without parole.

unflippin real.. how does this kinda chit happen? innocent until proven guilty i can understand in certain cases.. but speed up the process of prosecution with these offenders if the facts of evidence are real.. i.e.. if condoms were recovered, and the lil girls' dna is on em.. i tag we DON'T drag the victim or taxpayers through trial.. and throw these offenders to the general population of their county jail! Let these offenders have done upon them what they have done upon others... this is the Golden Rule!
