NORTH PORT, Fla. -- Four companies have entered bids to operate Warm Mineral Springs in a long term capacity.

Currently the springs are under a short term agreement with National and State Park Concessions until September 1st. The short term agreement keeps the springs open for swimming only, until the city can approve a long-term contract bid.

North Port city commissioners have opened the bidding process for a long term contractor to take over.

The bid details will remain under wraps until both the city and Sarasota County meet to discuss a long term plan next month.
