BRADENTON -- A Palmetto man is charged with aggravated assault and battery after police say he beat a Bradenton man and threatened him with a pipe.
The Manatee County Sheriff's Office says 24-year-old Reliford Cooper and 25-year-old Tony Webb fought over a female on Saturday, November 9 at 3:30 p.m. at the K&S on 301 Blvd. East in Bradenton. Cooper then allegedly hit Webb several times, fracturing his forehead, eye socket and nose. The sheriff's office says Cooper then threatened to hit Webb with a pipe, the latter of whom fled the area and drove to Lakewood Ranch Medical Center.
Authorities located and arrested Reliford without incident. And after Reliford was released from Manatee Memorial Hospital for treatment on his hand, which he told police was injured, he was transported to jail.
