SARASOTA, FL (WWSB) - A mother and daughter have been arrested for crimes inside their residence in Sarasota.

The Sarasota Police Department Street Crimes Unit and Narcotics Unit have arrested Anne Dodge, 55, and Jennifer Dodge, 30, both of Bay Street, Sarasota, after a Crimestoppers tip in June 2017 was shared with detectives about possible prostitution happening inside a home.

Between June 2017 and August 2017, Sarasota Police officers, working with the Department of Health and Selah Freedom, conducted several undercover operations inside the Dodge’s residence in the 2900 block of Bay Street, Sarasota--neighbors were in shock.

"I had suspicion something odd was going on, I had no idea of the nature."

For neighbor Sammy Warren, he has never had any interaction with the two women, but always had a suspicion that something was going on.

"occasionally one of the girls would get in the car and roll away, sometimes the car would drop her back off and sometimes she would walk back."

During undercover operations, Jennifer Dodge offered to perform sexual favors in exchange for U.S. currency to an undercover officer. Anne Dodge performed a massage in exchange for U.S. currency to a police officer who was working in an undercover capacity. Officers contacted the Department of Health who confirmed Anne is not a licensed massage therapist.

Both women were posting ads to the website BackPage.com. One ad for Anne said, “I am a beautiful, talented, licensed massage therapist whom God uses to bring his healing energy to you and bring you to a whole new level of ecstasy.”

On Wednesday, August 16, Street Crimes and Narcotics Officers executed a search warrant at the Dodge’s residence.

Video of the search warrant can be found on the Sarasota Police Department YouTube page at https://youtu.be/25mFb9iswgo.

Anne was arrested on Wednesday, August 16 at the residence and Jennifer was arrested on Thursday, August 17.

Anne Dodge was charged with two counts of unlicensed practice of a health care profession (felony), two counts of massage establishments; requisites; licensure; inspection (misdemeanor).

Jennifer Dodge was charged with prostitution (felony). Jennifer also has three prior convictions of prostitution.

Both women were arrested without incident and transported to the Sarasota County Jail.
