UPDATE:  The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Facebook page is reporting that the Cattle Dog lost since Saturday has been located and recovered. The individual who found "Doc" on Saturday contacted the Sheriff's Office Wednesday afternoon and met with Sgt Ron Cain and Det. Lowell Cain at the man's North Tampa home.

SARASOTA, FL. - A $1,000 reward is being offered for in a case involving a missing cattle dog.

On February 16 around 11:30 a.m., a Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office cattle dog escaped from his special trailer, which was NB on I-75 around the Fruitville exit in Sarasota County.

This dog was personally paid for by Agriculture Detective Lowell Cain who often uses him while working to help herd loose cows off the roadways.

He is his personal dog, but somewhat of the HCSO Agriculture Unit's mascot. "Doc" is a mixed breed cattle dog who is very friendly and weighs about 60 lbs.

A $1,000 reward is being offered.

Anyone who may have seen or has any information on the location of "Doc" is asked to call Sgt. Ron Cain at Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.
