SUNCOAST - This week is National Law Enforcement Officer's Memorial Week, and to honor those men and women who have given their lives to serve and protect, memorial services will be held.

The Sarasota Police Department will honor Officer Warren David Jones, who was killed back in 1975 while on duty. The annual ceremony will be held at Faith Lutheran Church on Beneva Road Wednesday night at 6 p.m.

On Thursday at 10:30 a.m., Manatee County Law Enforcement will hold its service outside the Manatee County Courthouse.

The public is invited to attend both ceremonies.
