Meeting today could decide fate of Warm Mineral Springs

NORTH PORT, Fla. -- The long saga of North Port attraction Warm Mineral Springs could reach a resolution today. North Port City Commissioners will hold at meeting at 1 p.m. Friday to debate a plan that would have the city purchase Sarasota County's share of the property for $2.75 million.

National and State Park Concessions, the current operator of Warm Mineral Springs, would remain in place for at another year as part of the deal, keeping the springs open into 2015 and perhaps beyond.
