SARASOTA, Fla. - A Sarasota woman has been charged with Aggravated Manslaughter of an Elderly Person after the 65-year-old man she shoved to the ground earlier this month died from his injuries.

According to the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office, on December 6th, 25-year-old Megan Belle was in a physical altercation with two women who live in the same South Gate Apartments complex on Bee Ridge Road.

During the confrontation, 65-year-old Kevin Watts was walking along the sidewalk when he was confronted by Belle and shoved backward, striking his head on the concrete.

Watts never regained consciousness and died on December 17th. The preliminary report by the Medical Examiner’s Office indicates Watts’ death was the result of the injury he received when he was pushed to the ground by Belle.

Belle was taken into custody Friday and charged with Aggravated Manslaughter of an Elderly Person. Detectives have also charged her with Simple Battery for the fight with the women two weeks ago.

This man was a drunk she was protecting herself if he didn't drunk from morning to night he would have survived the fall but his blood alcohol level was so high they induced his coma. Any normal person would have survived a shove and she is a good person nothing write trashy about her

i'll bet that the guy said something to instigate the push and i'll also bet that he was not sober. if so, this article is somewhat misleading.
