BRADENTON, Fla. -- Manatee High School has already hired a replacement head football coach for the 2014.

The announcement comes less than two weeks after Joe Kinnan's depature. Kinnan, who has led the team to five state championships, announced last month that he is taking a one-year medical leave.

The school has named John Booth as the next football coach. He is a Hurricanes alum who played in NFL Europe and the Arena Football League.

Booth returns to Manatee High after coaching at Bloomingdale High School in Valrico.

ABC 7's Duhane Lindo will have more on this hiring tonight on ABC 7 News.
