MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. - 25 men were arrested during a week-long undercover sting operation in which the defendants went to a residence believing they were meeting up with a juvenile for a sexual encounter.
According to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office, Operation Green Shepherd III started on Monday, February 10th and concluded on Monday, February 17.
Detectives went on line in various undercover capacities and subsequently set up meetings with the defendants, ranging in age from 19 to 75, at an undercover residence in Manatee County.
The defendants were arrested on charges including Travel to Seduce/Solicit/Entice a Child to Commit Sexual Act, Use of a Computer to Seduce/ Solicit/Entice a Child to Commit Sexual Act and Attempted Lewd and Lascivious.
