Manatee County Deputies looking for suspect in home invasion robbery

BRADENTON, FL- Manatee County Deputies are currently looking for the suspect who held up a homeowner at gunpoint and robbed him.

It happened at the 5100 block of 14th Street West just after 11 p.m. Thursday.  According to a Sheriff's Office Report, the victim was inside his bedroom with a female acquaintance when the suspect entered his residence.

The suspect grabbed the female and  pointed a gun at the victim and demanded money.  The victim gave the suspect a purse and the suspect exited the home with the friend.

No word on how much money was taken.  Anyone with information is urged to contact the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

**UPDATE** The Sheriff's Office later located the female involved in the incident, who claimed to not know what happened.  She was identified as Patrice Carey and arrested for failing to register as a convicted felon.
