Manatee County couple robbed outside of Ellenton home

ELLENTON,FL-  Manatee County Deputies are looking for five men that held up a homeowner while he stood in his own driveway.

It happened late Thursday night outside of a home on the 600 block of 25th Drive East in Ellenton.  According to deputies, the homeowner was standing in his driveway when he was approached by multiple males from both sides.  The suspects ordered the victim back inside the house.

On robbers then took the victim's cell phones along with other items and fled the scene.  The homeowner was struck in the head by one of the robbers and had to be treated at an area hospital.  Anyone with information is urged to contact the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
