NORTH PORT, Fla. – We told you last week how the City of North Port had whittled down its potential long term managers for Warm Mineral Springs to two choices. Now one of the groups that wasn't chosen has filed a "protest submittal form".

The Friends of Warm Mineral Springs filed the paperwork last week. The group outlines dissatisfaction with the process, and claims one of the chosen bids by Sarasota-based Jebco Ventures did not follow the procurement requirements.

Last week, Sarasota County and North Port city leaders selected Jebco Ventures as a finalist, along with National and State Park Concessions, which is currently operating the park under a short-term agreement.

City and county commissioners will make a final decision on June 24th after the two finalists make a presentation.
