BRADENTON, Fla. -- A Bradenton homeowner at odds with the city over code violations is now getting a helping hand.

We told you earlier in the week how Brent Greer painted the American flag across the front of his home in protest.

Now, according to the Bradenton Herald, the "Guardian Angels of Southwest Florida Foster Care Service" is stepping in to help make needed repairs to Greer’s home.

The city code enforcement department cited Greer for nine violations. Greer, who is a foster parent, claimed the violations were cosmetic, and since he doesn't live in a deed restricted area, he should be able to make the repairs on his own time table.

The Guardian Angels plan to make repairs at no cost.
