Man brings toddler to vehicle burglary in Brandon

BRANDON, FL. - Hillsborough Sheriff's deputies are asking for any information on the identity of a man seen on surveillance video burglarizing a vehicle while a toddler waited in his car.

Deputies say on Wednesday around 2:30 p.m., a male suspect broke the driver's window of a vehicle parked in the Walmart parking lot on Causeway Blvd. in Brandon.

The suspect removed the dash-mounted stereo and speaker box from the rear cargo area. During the burglary, the man had a toddler visible in his vehicle who was seen climbing in the front seats.

The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male, 5'4"-5'8", 18-28 years of age, average build, thick dark hair. He was last seen wearing a tan t-shirt and black shorts. He has possible cuts on hands and/or arms. The suspect’s vehicle is a 1999-2001 4-door, faded red Honda Civic with light interior and missing hubcaps.
