Lockdown lifted at Riverview High after nearby shooting

SARASOTA, Fla. - Authorities have lifted a brief lockdown at Riverview High School that was ordered after a domestic shooting incident at a nearby home.

According to the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office, a domestic incident at a home on Lords Avenue resulted in a woman shooting a man in the leg.

The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  Investigators are speaking with the woman.

Nearby Riverview High was placed on a lockdown as a precautionary measure, and has since reopened.
