SARASOTA COUNTY, Fla. - Parents in North Port took their concerns about the wellness of Larmarque Elementary to school board members Tuesday night.

About a dozen parents spoke out about the illnesses their children have endured since attending the school. Some even asked the school be closed down until they find out what’s wrong.

But board members reassured parents that numerous tests have been done, and no toxic materials have been found in the school. The school even hired a doctor in toxicology to inspect the school.

A school official will meet with that doctor next week to get an update on the testing.
