SARASOTA - The world knows him as a basketball sportscaster, but in Sarasota we know Dick Vitale as a guy with a huge heart, and who is working hard to put a stop to cancer.
Thursday night was the kick-off event leading up to The V Foundation's big gala, which will be held May 17th, benefiting efforts to fund pediatric cancer research.
Last year the event raised $2.1 million, and this year tickets are going to go fast, so sign up early.
Thursday’s event was hosted by Mercerdes-Benz of Sarasota, and together they're raffling off a red Mercedes convertible. Raffle tickets are $100 and can be purchased HERE.
