BRADENTON - Students at IMG Academy in Bradenton want to warn their classmates about the dangers of drunk driving.

They simulated a car crash to show just how deadly it can be. In their dramatization, they showed how one student was killed, and another suffered a serious brain injury, while the drunk driver was taken to jail.

They hope it will discourage kids from driving under the influence ahead of their upcoming prom.

"We want to make sure that we get the message out there that drinking and driving is a bad thing, that it impairs your ability to make good decisions and make a good judgment while you’re driving, and that includes texting and driving also. So getting these students out here, and we have about 100 that are gonna be here, we know if we make a difference in one of their lives, that’s what it’s all about," says Chris Georgoulis, Health and Safety Coordinator, IMG Academy

They say they plan to make it an annual event.
