SIESTA KEY, Fla. - The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public to help to identify a person of interest seen in surveillance images near the scene of recent residential burglaries on Siesta Key.

According to the sheriff's office, the crimes have occurred at condominiums on the south end of the island. The burglarized units show no sign of forced entry, and the suspect takes jewelry and cash without disturbing anything else so when residents return they don’t immediate realize anything’s missing. The crimes have occurred during the day and early evening.

As a reminder of our routine crime prevention tips, authorities say residents should lock their doors and windows every time they leave their homes.

Anyone with information on these crimes or this person of interest should call Criminal Investigations at 941-861-4900 or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers by calling 941-366-TIPS (8477), or
