I-75 crash causes traffic snarl Monday morning

SARASOTA - Two people were reportedly injured in a multi-vehicle crash in the northbound lanes of Interstate 75, causing two lanes to be closed for about an hour and a half.

All lanes have since reopened.

The crash happened just before 11am along the overpass at Fruitville Road, at mile marker 210.

Not many details have been released by Florida Highway Patrol yet, but two people were reported injured.  One was taken via ground transport to the hospital.

The center and right northbound lanes were closed while crews cleaned up the scene.
