SARASOTA - The 2013 Sarasota Film Festival is almost here. Wednesday night, organizers hosted an open forum about the big event at The HuB in downtown Sarasota.

Director Tom Hall answered questions about all things related to the festival -- everything from how to purchase tickets to which films to see.

Each year, the festival seems to get larger, attracting more guests, celebrities and features. And Hall says the community plays a large role. “We have a lot of strategic partners, community partnerships with different organizations from service orgs to different arts groups. And we're looking to connect with them and their audiences. Film is very flexible so we use that as a way to connect with different groups and let them use our festival to promote what they're doing.”

Opening night of the film festival is Friday, April 5th. Tickets are on sale now at the Hollywood 20 box office on Main Street in Sarasota, and online at www.sarasotafilmfestival.com.
