SARASOTA, FL. - Sarasota Police have arrested a homeless man after he picked a fight with a security guard at the SCAT Bus Depot.

On Wednesday around 8:18 pm, officers were sent to the SCAT Bus Depot located at 1525 1st Street on a report of a fight in progress.

When they arrived the officers spoke with the SCAT Security Guard who told them that Leopold Lake, who is listed as homeless, was in a dispute with another person at City Hall, then came to the bus terminal to try to get a bus pass from the security guard.

When the guard told Lake he did not have a pass, Lake became loud, yelling at the guard and then shoved the guard.

Officers arrested Lake on scene. During the arrest Lake resisted arrest and took a swing at the officers with his fist. There was no injury to the officers or the security guard.

Lake was taken into custody and transported to the Sarasota County Jail.
