SARASOTA--Wednesday's severe storms brought down trees and spread debris throughout Sarasota's Gulf Gate neighborhood.
Residents say the storm was strong, but that the most intense part was only about thirty seconds long.
Despite that people in the area say that short gust packed an enormous punch, sending tree limbs flying. Some roads flooded but the water quickly receded.
No damage was observed inside homes; however several exteriors were damaged by falling debris and wind.
