SARASOTA, Fla. -- Two candidates who are hoping to be Florida's next governor will visit the Suncoast.
Republican Governor Rick Scott is participating in Florida Education Commissioner Pam Stewart's "Back to School" tour. Scott will visit Vineland Elementary School in Charlotte county Thursday afternoon.
Vineland has maintained an "A" school rating for thirteen consecutive years. The school focuses on building leadership skills in students.
Governor Scott will visit Vineland Elementary on Boundary Boulevard in Rotonda at 1:45pm.
Meanwhile, Libertarian candidate Adrian Wyllie will make another stop in Sarasota Thursday night to drum up support for his run for Florida Governor. He plans to be at Darwin's on 4th brew pub from 7-8pm to meet and greet supporters.
Wyllie has been touring the state as part of a 30-day, 30-city craft beer brewery tour.
Charlie Crist and other Democratic leaders are spending the day holding "People's Team" rallies in Orlando and Fort Lauderdale.
