SARASOTA Co., Fla (WWSB) -- Clean up crews were busy Monday morning after 6,000 gallons of raw sewage spilled into a storm water system in Sarasota.
The Florida Division of Emergency Management says it happened after a force main broke on Buccaneer Lane at the intersection of Buccaneer Court.
The pipe had to be repaired before clean up could begin.
There might still be caution signs in the area but all work has been completed.
Officials say no drinking water was affected by the spill.
