MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. – The former principal of Manatee High School is fighting for his job today at a hearing in Bradenton.

Bob Gagnon’s attorney is arguing against the district's accusations that he demonstrated immorality, misconduct and gross insubordination in handling the Rod Frazier case.

Gagnon was notified by the school district of intent to terminate from his position as Assistant Superintendent him back on September 25th. This after he was arrested along with three other school officials in August on felony charges he failed to report child abuse to the state.

The charges stem from the Frazier case, in which former assistant football coach Rod Frazier is accused of inappropriately touching students and staff.

Gagnon's hearing is expected to run roughly three days.
