(WWSB) -- Looking for something fun to do this weekend? Check out these great options all weekend at different locations around the Suncoast.
1. Free Music Friday Night (August 11)
Need a relaxing night? Check out Free Music Friday Night in the Gazebo in Centennial Park in downtown Venice. Bring your lawn chair or blanket. The event starts at 7 p.m. and admission is free.
2. YMCA Splash Bash (August 12)
Ready to have some fun? Come out to the Sarasota YMCA Splash Bash. Water park access is free and open to the public. They'll also have face painting, entertainment and food available for purchase. The event runs from noon until 3 p.m. at the Evalyn Sadlier Jones Branch in Sarasota.
3. Tiki Fest 2017 (August 12)
Have some major fun at the 2nd Annual Tiki Fest with live music, hula dancers, Ukulele performers, tiki toss and tiki bowling games, rock music, coconut painting, photo ops, tiki carvings, Hawaiian lei giveaways, drink and food specials, tiki merchandise and tropical clothing store promotions and more. Put on your grass skirt or tropical themed shirt and join the fun. There is free admission and parking. The event runs from noon until 4 p.m. at Fisherman's Village, located at 1200 W. Retta Esplanade in Punta Gorda.
4. AquaPalooza (August 12)
Are you ready for AquaPalooza 2017? It is an on the water party for boaters with music and fun in the sun, free give-aways and more. The fest takes place at New Pass sandbar. The fest is being called "the largest party on the water" by organizers. The event runs from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
5. Sarasota Farmer's Market (August 12)
One of the traditional weekly, year round events in Sarasota, you'll find everything from fresh produce, food, flowers and plants to arts and crafts, friends and fun. The market is open from 7 a.m. until noon on Main Street and Lemon Avenue in downtown Sarasota.
6. Venice Farmer's Market (August 12)
Come on out to browse the local produce, plants, flowers, crafts, jewelry, soaps, imported oils, seafood, pastries and much more at the weekly Farmers' Market held in the parking lot of Centennial Park in downtown Venice from 9 a.m. until noon.
7. Siesta Key Beach Drum Circle (August 13)
Every Sunday evening before sunset you'll find the drums beating and people dancing on Siesta Key Beach. It takes place about an hour before sunset, just south of the main pavilion on Siesta Public Beach. Listen for the drums and follow the crowd. Bring your chair or beach blanket and refreshments. Even bring your own drum and play along!
