SARASOTA, Fla. -- Federal prosecutors are accusing longtime Subway pitchman Jared Fogle of some very bad things. Documents released Wednesday by the U.S. attorney's office in Indianapolis say the 37-year-old Fogle faces one count of travel to engage in illicit sexual conduct with a minor and one count of distribution and receipt of child pornography.
The investigation into Fogle has roots right here on the Suncoast. Rochelle Herman knew Fogle through radio interviews she had conducted, and she went to the FBI after the Subway guy made shocking statements to her.
In her first interview, Herman talks to ABC 7's Max Winitz about what Fogle told her, her time as an FBI informant and her relief at today's announcement of charges against the former face of Subway.
