Four arrested after Meth found in home; electricity stolen from power line

ENGLEWOOD, FL (WWSB) - A narcotics search warrant was served Friday morning on a residence in Englewood.

Members of the Charlotte County SWAT team, Street Crimes Unit, and Narcotics Unit entered the residence at approximately 6:30 a.m., locating and securing four subjects in the main home and a rear shed. This is the second time in six months that a warrant has been served on this residence,

marking the end of a several month-long investigation by the Narcotics Unit into activities within the residence.

The four subjects inside the home were identified as Melissa Arthur, 43, Michelle Cassidy, 44, Sarah Root, 31, and Cody Bryant, 27.

A narcotics detective interviewed all four subjects while the house was searched.

Arrests

The individuals arrested in the search.

Methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and packaging supplies consistent with the sale and delivery of narcotics were located in the residence. Florida Power & Light, Charlotte County Utilities, and Charlotte County Code Compliance also responded to the scene, after it was observed that the residents were using jumper cables to steal electricity directly from the outside power line.

Melissa Arthur is charged with maintaining a nuisance dwelling, tampering with or fabricating physical evidence, possession of a controlled substance without prescription (Methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia,

and violation of probation (currently on drug offender probation).

Michelle Cassidy is charged with maintaining a nuisance dwelling, tampering with or fabricating physical evidence, possession of a controlled substance without prescription (Methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia, and violation of probation (currently on drug offender probation).

Sarah Root is charged with possession of a controlled substance without prescription (Methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Cody Bryant is charged with possession of a controlled substance without prescription (Methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
