SARASOTA, Fla. -- "Black fu---ng ni---r!" These shocking and hurtful words were all caught on cellphone video. The speaker, former school bus driver Pamela Michener, didn't stop there.

"Let me tell you something, you fat fu---ing ni---r: Maybe if you disciplined your fu---ng ni---r, stinky-ass black children, I wouldn't have to put my two cents in," Michener is heard shouting on the video.

For 10 years Michener had been working with the Sarasota school district as a bus driver before resigning this May.

Neighbors say that after witnessing this outburst, along with several other rants from her, they knew something had to be done. That's when they turned to social media.

"I posted the video and I wanted everyone to see this is who is working with our kids,” says Mya Ronk, Michener's neighbor. “Everyone was outraged."

Ronk says the Facebook and YouTube posts quickly gained traction, and the community has since been voicing its concern to the school district.

"You have these kids, how could you work with kids when you don’t like a certain type of people?" Ronk asks.

So ABC 7 did some digging -- our first stop being Michener's home. After knocking on her door, I asked Michener about the neighbor’s accusations that she is a racist and told her I wanted to get her side of the story.

“First of all, I’m not a racist … it’s just the opposite,” Michener said, before saying “Thank you for your time” and slamming the front door. I asked through the closed door about Michener’s use of the N word. “Well, what do you expect?” She answered. “My life is threatened, ok? I have people attacking me all the time. What do you expect?”

We referred back to the video, and noted that the only violent comment made during the altercation ("I'll slit your fu---ng throat") came from Michener.

This isn’t the first time Michener has been accused of questionable conduct. A police report from 2012 shows that Michener was charged with battery on a person 65 or older, and there was also an incident for which she was charged with faking an attack.

"This is who our kids are around,” says Ronk. “We don’t want our kids feeling unsafe, like my sister afterwards, she didn't even want to leave my mother in the house by herself."

[A previous version of this story incorrectly stated that Michener is currently a bus driver with Sarasota County Schools.]

It's sickening to think this thing is driving our children and grandchildren around our neighborhoods. How was she threatened? Was she called a big fat racist? You should never be around ANY children ever. Hopefully you have no influence on any poor unwitting child in your life. As far as gulag- what the heck are you talking about. Go take your meds your schizo side is showing. You come here wanting to have a better life and then complain? Guess what zesta, American's hate you too. Hopefully you will solve the gulag problem by going back were you came from. We have what it takes to change the racist outlook by just doing the right things and saying respectful things to each other. Hating any person over the color of their skin is the most ridiculous thing ever. Who gets to choose what color you are when your born? Stop carrying on the old racist outlooks of the 60's. Sabriya, good job on the outing of this p e r s o n? Wish you and your family the best of luck. Look forward to the outcome. No one should tolerate such a disgusting display

How many of the white people reading this article live in a black neighborhood?

Do you Americans realize THIS IS THE GULAG? Ask a Eastern European -- the gulag is not a a place where they shoot you over ditches. It's an atmosphere of fear from the state if you dare think differently than the state ideology. Everyone kept their mouths shut and nose down because the gulag was ordinary Soviet citizens reporting other Soviet citizens.

This woman 1) doesn't work with kids. She retired. 2) She has a right to be racist 3) She didn't commit white on black crime.

Black on white crime is EPIDEMIC, but I bet none of you brain-dead trendy white-hating Facebook and Twitter users ever create an uproar about it.

If she threatened people, you can call the police, but instead you decided to humiliate her publicly (the gulag). I hate this country and I hate Americans.

I guess those rules of conduct don't apply to Channel 7 ABC. We have the most racist US Government in history for six years and all you sheep do is double down. Black mob attacks all over the country, black on white murders happen daily and not a f'kn peep from you weak mo fo's.

We are all waiting to see what the school board will do. The only option is to relieve this person of her duties, no one wants to put their children in the hands of a racist. This is my sister who this rant was directed to and my 14 y/o niece she has a problem with, they will not be intimidated by her hateful words, we WILL see this through!
