SARASOTA, Fla. (AP) — As the World Cup wraps up, one Florida woman is still beaming with pride over her son's performance.

Team USA goalkeeper Tim Howard's 64-year-old mother Esther has been a Sarasota resident for the past three years.

She went to the last three of her son's World Cup games and is "amazed by his performance."

She tells the Sarasota Herald-Tribune (http://bit.ly/1owo5Yd) she still "can't grasp the enormity of his success."

The World Cup ends Sunday with a marquee match-up between Germany and Argentina.
