Five arrested in Sarasota prostitution sting

SARASOTA, Fla. - The Sarasota Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit and Narcotics Unit conducted an operation targeting prostitution in the City of Sarasota last week.

Investigations conducted on January 23rd resulted in the arrest of five individuals on a total of seven criminal charges.

25-year-old Catherine LaChance was arrested at 10th Street and Cocoanut and charged with Prostitution 3rd or Subsequent Offense (Felony) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

45-year-old Phyllis Goodleaf was arrested at N. Tamiami Trail and Myrtle Street and charged with Prostitution.

28-year-old Melissa Cowie was arrested at U.S. 301 and 10th Street and charged with Prostitution 3rd or Subsequent Offense (Felony) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

32-year-old Jessica Palmer was arrested on East Tamiami Circle and Greensboro Lane and charged with Violation of Probation – Prostitution 3rd or Subsequent Offense (Felony VOP).

50-year-old Devereux Collins was arrested on North Tamiami Trail at 11th Street and charged with Prostitution.
