Local temperatures are influenced by many factors. Some are local but some are larger scale. While we have enjoyed warm temperatures on the Suncoast the cold air has been getting colder and colder over Siberia. Now planetary waves in the atmosphere will allow that colder air to pour south over the United States and sink far enough south to impact our Suncoast weather.
It will come in the form of a cold front and some showers followed by shifting winds and a fast drop from the 80's today to mid 60's by the weekend. There will be low temperatures in the 40's and 50's. The cold snap will last for two weeks or more.
